Karen Williss Kietzer, 71 passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 in Alamogordo, New Mexico surrounded by her family. Karen was born April 22, 1952 in El Paso, Texas to Richard L. McConn and Marilyn McConn.
“Let’s Do That!” was her motto and catchphrase. Always ready and willing for the next move (9), the next phase (empty nesters), even the next life. Her faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ guided her exemplary life. “Go with God”, “Walk with Christ” and “Allow the Holy Spirit to come into your soul”.
Always leading the way to go, try, and succeed. Her happiest moments were those spent with grandkids, Jeremiah, Henry, Caroline and Wesley. She was an avid reader and sports fan, especially for our son’s soccer matches on pitches all across the country.
Karen is survived by her husband of 41 years, Bill and sons Scott, Daniel (Shelby) and Alex (Sami), all kind and loving folks. Also by her sister Kathy Rice of El Paso, who has been a great friend and helper over the decades. We all miss Karen greatly and will try to carry on with Karen’s servant attitude.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at Scenic Chapel Alamogordo on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 3:00 PM with Lance Garrison of The Worship Center officiating.
